Elnora Fancher Howitz, born in Kuttawa, Ky., Lyon County, August 5, 1925, passed away November 24, 2012 in Montgomery, Ala. Mom was a wonderful person. She attended grade school in Lyon County and graduated from Kuttawa High School in 1942. She then attended Murray University.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Pauline Fancher; a brother, James R. Fancher and son, William L. Howitz, SLC, Utah. She is survived by four sons and one daughter; James L. Howitz (Yvonne), Lexington, Ky.; Clifton I. Howitz, Jr., Wetumpka, Ala.; Matthew D. Howitz (Cindy), Montgomery, Ala.; Michael C. Howitz (Barbara), Darrington, South Carolina and Virginia A. Howitz, Montgomery, Ala. She had ten grandchildren; Lynn, Keri, Rocky, Emily, Tanner, Matt, Andy, Kerri, Madeline and Mikayla; and a sister, Emma Jean DeWolfe, Warick, Rhode Island. The family would like to thank Hospice Advantage, especially Sheila and Emily, and the many caretakers who assisted in her care.
