Mr. Adams died May 3 at Rivers Bend Retirement Center in Kuttawa. He was the former owner of Adams Water Well Drilling Company in Eddyville. He retired from Special Metals in Princeton with 20 years of service, he was a World War II Army Airforce veteran and was also a former employee of John Deere in Dubuque, Iowa for 10 years. He was also a charter member of Eddyville Assembly of God in Eddyville.
His parents were Joseph Jesse Adams and Elsie Jane Frye Adams.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Ruth Bingham Adams; three brothers and three sisters.
Surviviors are: two daughters, Patti Hatfield of Beaver Dam and Pam Norman of Eddyville; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul Adams of Baxter Springs, Kan.; a half-brother, Dale Adams of Ala.; two half-sisters, Thelma “Terrie” Townsend of Ariz.; and Janice Lockey of Ariz.; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
