Services for Mr. James “Jim” Stephenson, 69, of Kuttawa, were Sept. 9 at Lakeland Funeral

Home Chapel in Eddyville with the Rev. Sam Haulk officiating. Burial followed in Hebron Cemetery in Lyon County.

Mr. Stephenson died Sept. 5 at his residence in Kuttawa.

Mr. Stephenson was employed as a parts and equipment buyer for Vulcan Materials Company in Lake City with 32 years service. He was a member of the Calvert City Golf and Country Club and Hebron Baptist Church in Lyon County.

His parents were Jessie Bailey Stephenson and Beatrice Beckner Stephenson.

He was preceded in death by two nephews, Chris George and Brian George.

Survivors are: his wife, Beverly Peek Stephenson; a son, Shawn Stephenson

of Horn Lake, Miss.; a daughter, Staceye Thomas of Caldwell County; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Donald Stephenson of Nashville, Tenn., Robert Stephenson of Princeton, Phillip Stephenson and his wife, Leann, of Del City, Okla.; two sisters, Peggy George and her husband, Rick, of Princeton; Linda Davis of Naples, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Shelley Peek Toles and her husband, Wilbur of Frankfort and Judith Peek Hilton and her husband, Jeff, of Richmond, three nephews, Jeff George, Matthew Stephenson and Danny Stephenson.
