Services for Jerry Pasek, 88, of Evansville, Ind., formerly of Lyon County, are today (Aug. 15) at Alexander West Chapel in Evansville with burial in Alexander Memorial Park.

Mr. Pasek died Saturday at Solarbron.

He was a native of Putnam County, Tenn., a graduate of Evansville Central High School, the University of Evansville and Texas A&M and Ohio State University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps., and later worked in research and development at Wright Patterson Field near Dayton, Ohio. He was a founder of the Lyon County Scholarship Foundation in 1988 and served continuously as chairman of its board until April of this year. He was a member of the Lyon County Historical Society and the Lyon County Public Library Board.

He was preceded in death by three siblings.

Mr. Pasek is survived by two sisters, O’Tilla O’Connor of Miamisburg, Ohio, and Margie Fisher of Evansville; and 10 nieces and nephews.
