Mr. Newman was owner and operator of Ol’ Country Heating & Air Conditioning Service Repair in Grand Rivers. He had formerly been employed at Northstar Steel Plant in Calvert City. He was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church in Lake City and was a 20 year United States Army and National Guard veteran retiree.
Survivors are: his wife, Marion Newman; a son, James Newman; a daughter, Samantha Newman; his father, Eddie Newman, all of Grand Rivers; two sisters, Linda Brand of Winston Salem, N.C. and Rachel Bray of Clinton, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Molly Ann Newman and a brother, James Hampton Newman.
