Services for Loretta A. Thompson, 70, of Benton, were Feb. 9 at the Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home with the Revs. Terry Mathis and Shannon Benefiel officiating. Burial followed in the Shemwell Cemetery.

Mrs. Thompson died Feb. 6 at her home. She was a retired bus driver for the Marshall County School District and a member of the Vanzora Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earlie Green Thompson; a sister, Alva Lou Cole; and a brother, Gerald Cole.

Her parents were Orvey and Lorene Thomasson Cole.

Survivors are: three daughters, Karon Holley of Benton, Mayrene Fox of Eddyville, Luann Willie of Mayfield; two sons, Thomas Thompson of Benton and Orvel Thompson of Grand Rivers; a brother, Gary Cole of Greensboro, N.C.; a sister, Mary Lue Cole of Lone Oak; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
