Services for Mary Edith Peeler, 85, of Possom Trot formerly of Melber were Sept. 25 at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield. The Rev. Jamie Lee officiated and burial followed at the Kansas Cemetery.

Mrs. Peeler died Sept. 23 at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Possom Trot. She was a member of the Diggs Chapel Methodist Church, and a homemaker.

Her parents were Verb and Essie Dowdy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Peeler; a grandson, Joey Dale Adkins; four brothers,George, Ernest, Junior, and Howard Dowdy; three sisters, Ruby Dowdy, Dorothy Tucker, and Dink Hobbs.

Survivors are: two daughters, Dianne Holt of Eddyville and Judy Adkins of Paducah; two sons, Jackie Peeler of Hickory, Benny Peeler of Melber; a brother, Lennis Dowdy of Bardwell; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
