Our father, Robert I. Paul, Sr. 88, of Kalispell, Montana, and formerly of Eddyville Kentucky, passed on to be with the Saints on Oct. 23. Known as “RIP” to his friends, Dad is preceded in death by his parents, Asa Irving and Grace (Angel) Paul; brother, Lloyd Paul; sisters, Leona Shaffer and Margaret Graves, and his bride, Mona Lee (Honey) Paul of 48 years.
He is survived by his sister, Donna Sue Waymire, Crown Pointe, Ind.; four sons, Robert I. Paul, Jr. (wife Linda), Billings, Mont.; Edward Paul, Eddyville; Frederick Paul, Hopkinsville; and Joseph Paul, Lexington; three grandchildren, Robert III (wife Erin), Angela and Brittani; and three great-grand children, Elizabeth, Colby and Aubrey Paul.
A World War II and Korean Veteran, Dad retired from the Navy after 22 years and worked as an industrial electrician until his retirement.
He was a volunteer for the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, driving the Disabled American Veterans van all over Western Kentucky, as well a member of the Masons (Scottish Rite).
Dad loved sports, outdoor activities, and his beloved mountains in Montana.
His neighbors in Montana remember him as horseman, and the nice old man on the corner who gave away eggs from the chickens he tended up to the day of his passing. He was very generous to worthy charities.
He loved to travel and between his U. S. Navy travels and retirement, saw virtually every state, every continent, and all the oceans.
Our family will remember him as a Devoted Husband, Father, and Patriot. Services will be held at the Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville, Kentucky on Oct. 30 at 1 p.m. with internment next to his wife, Mona Lee, in the Friendship Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Kenneth “Kenny” Wilson, Sr., 78
Mr. Kenneth “Kenny” Wilson, Sr., 78, of Eddyville died Saturday, Oct. 26, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY following a long illness. He was an Army veteran, bus driver for the Lyon County School system and a member of First Baptist Church of Eddyville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Evelyn Bruther Wilson; one daughter, Veronica Louise Wilson; and two sisters, Roberta and Ida Mae.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Croft Wilson, Eddyville; two sons, Kenneth W. Wilson, Jr. and wife, Christina, Burns, Tenn.; Wiley Wilson, Paducah; three daughters, Trish Jenkins and husband, Jenks, Clarksville, Tenn.; Dee Dee Morgan and husband, Rick, Scottsburg, Ind.; Shannon Millikan and husband Jackie, Eddyville; 15 grandchildren, Kenny Wilson, III, Chris Wilson, Ben Wilson, Amanda Sampson, Brian Jenkins, Wiley Jenkins, Levi Morgan, Tabetha Crowe, Jessie Morgan, Derick Morgan, Gracen Wilson, Bryant Millikan, Landon Millikan, Anna Sadler and Evan Sadler; six great-grandchildren, Kingston Wilson, Lucas Sampson, Becca Sampson, Grace Crowe, Nick Crowe, Sophia Crowe; and one sister, Elsie Ross, Ind.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 1 at 1 p.m. at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville with the Rev. Tim Perdue officiating. Burial will follow in Rolling Hills Cemetery in Eddyville. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at the funeral home.

Jim Wolfe, 84
Services for Jim Wolfe, 84, of Eddyville, will be today, (Oct.30), at 1 p.m. at Kuttawa First Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Rolling Hills Cemetery in Eddyville.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour.
Mr. Wolfe died Oct. 27 at Caldwell Medical Center following a short illness. He was a federal mine inspector for the Mine Safety and Health Administration and a member of Kuttawa First Baptist Church.
His parents were George W. and Anna Mae Scott Wolfe.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ella Mae Hess, Jean Wratchford; and a grandson, Matthew James Wolfe.
Survivors are: his wife, Judith Gatian Wolfe, Eddyville; a son, James R. Wolfe, Hanson; a daughter, Pamela Kay Bedrick, Ripley, Tenn.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Edwina Smight, 90
Mrs. Edwina Smith, 90, of Eddyville, died Oct. 28 at her home.
