Loretta Wheeler, 85

Services for Loretta Wheeler, 85, of Kuttawa were conducted Dec. 1 at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville. The Rev. Ted Yates officiated and burial followed in Mexico Cemetery in Crittenden County.

Mrs. Wheeler died Nov. 29 at Caldwell County Medical Center following a long illness. She was a homemaker and a member of Suwanee Furnace Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Fay Wheeler; and three brothers, Leonard Campbell, Cook Campbell and Bruce Campbell. Her parents were Daniel Campbell and Esther Mott Campbell.

She is survived by her husband, William K. Wheeler; a son, William Dwight Wheeler of Glendale, Ariz.; two daughters, Beverly Kay Smith of Avon, Ind. and Linda Wyatt of Portage, Ind.; six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

  David Wayne Giles, 50

Graveside services for David Wayne Giles, 50, of Eddyville, formerly of Houston, Texas, were Nov. 25 at the Hurricane Church Cemetery in Trigg County with the Rev. John Mitchell officiating.

Mr. Giles died Nov. 20 at his home following a short illness. He was a self-employed carpenter and was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse James Giles.

Survivors are: his mother, Gladys Akridge Ethridge; two daughters, Melissa Maseili of Hopkinsville and Brandy Stevenson of Houston, Texas; a sister, Glenda Craig of Paducah; and five grandchildren.


Sandie McIntosh, 62

Memorial services for Sandie McIntosh, 62, of Eddyville, formerly of Trenton, Pa., were Nov. 30 at Lakeland Funeral Home.

Ms. McIntosh died Nov. 26 at Christian Care Center in Kuttawa following a short illness.

She was a convenience store business manager and was a Catholic.

Her parents were Andy and Virginia Holland Cimprich.

Survivors are: a daughter, Christi Durham, Eddyville; two grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Cimprich, Pearland,Texas and John Cimprich, Calvert City; two sisters, Patricia Henry, Salem; and Melissa Leigh, Morganfield; and several nieces and nephews.
