A family memorial service was conducted for Shirley K. Gavner, 77, of Murrells Inlet, S.C. formerly of Lamasco, on Nov. 22. Mrs. Gavner died at her home on Nov. 21. Another memorial service is planned for 11 a. m. Nov. 29 at Belin Memorial United Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Kennedy, a sister, Marguerite Wells and a granddaughter, Maggie Francescon.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Gavner;  three children,  Deb Niekamp, Michael Gavner, and Katie Francescon; four grandchildren, Tom Heaton, Lesley Runty, Shelbie Francescon,  Ben Francescon; five great grandchildren;  two sisters, Mary Ruth Houseman and Kathryn Fuqua; a brother, Kenneth Kennedy.
