Chamber Golf Scramble
The Lyon County Chamber of Commerce held its spring golf scramble on Friday at Mineral Mound State Park with 21 teams participating. Each of the eighteen holes had a sponsor and there were prizes on every hole. Outgoing Chamber President Kim Shoulders said “the gold scramble committee has done an outstanding job.”
That committee consisted of Steve Hiland from ReMax, Commonwealth Attorney G.L. Ovey, incoming chamber president Rick Fullard of Fullard Construction and Excavation, and Sam VanArsdale. VanArsdale was given special recognition for because he is strictly a volunteer, Shoulders said, not affiliated with any Chamber business, and he has helped with every golf scramble the Chamber has hosted.
The winning team consisted of David Sullenger, Pat Perry, Ryan Perry, and Ford Bryant. They each received a trophy and the team split the $300 first prize.
