Mrs. Smith died April 5 at her home following a long illness. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church, was a supervisor in the garment factory at Kentucky State Penitentiary and a supervisor at Cumberland Manufacturing in Princeton.
Her parents were Levi and Arlene Barrett Dunning. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Hale, Norvel, and R. L. Dunning.
Survivors are: her husband, Newman Larry Smith of Princeton; two sons, Larry Edward “Eddie” Smith of Eddyville, Justin Smith of Princeton; a daughter, Debbie Peifer of Paducah; two brothers, Dale Dunning of Lyon County, Gene Dunning of Paducah; a sister, Dorothy McKinney of Lyon County; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
