Mr. Ashley, formerly of Benton, died May 1 following a long illness in Warner Robins, Ga. He was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church and a retired truck driver from Paschall Truck Lines and J. B. Hunt and he was a veteran of the United States Army.
His parents were H. E. and Doris Huntley Ashley.
Survivors are: his wife, Aleen Oliver Ashley; two sons, Sam Ashley of Symsonia and Guy Ashley of Cuba; two daughters, Cindy Ashley of Kuttawa and Tammy Brown of Warner Robins, Ga.; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Westwood Baptist Church building fund in Live Oak, Fla., or to Kuttawa First Baptist Church.
