Mr. Freeman was retired from American Air Filter Company in Louisville with 26 years
service and was retired from the maintenance department for Green Turtle Bay in Grand Rivers. He was a Kentucky Colonel.
He is survived by one daughter, Donna James of Kuttawa; three sons Guy (Carolyn)
Walter Freeman, Jr. and George (Valerie) Walter Freeman, both of Louisville and Walter Lee
(Barbara) Freeman of Garfield, Ark.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one
sister, Ella Kirchner of Louisville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Weber Freeman; two brothers, Billy and
James Freeman; two sisters, Thelma Acree and Kay Oschner. His parents were Garnett
Freeman and Lora Deavers Freeman.
Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. (EST) Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Rest
Haven Cemetery, 400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY with the Rev. Ronnie Fox officiating.
There will be no local service.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today, November 28, at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville.
