Services for Nellie M. Groves, 75 of Paducah, formerly of Eddyville, were Dec. 18 at Dunn’s Funeral Home in Eddyville with the Rev. Frederick “Freddie” Groves officiating. Burial followed in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Groves died Dec. 15, at her daughter’s home in Lone Oak. She was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church and enjoyed plaster crafts.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Edward Groves; two brothers, John Lewis Colley and Carl Magraw Colley; three sisters, Laura Bell Wallace, Nancy Elizabeth Turner, and Louise Colley and a niece, Reginia Louise Wallace.

Her parents were Lewis Carr and Virginia Malone Colley.

Survivors are: a daughter, Donna Groves of Paducah; two brothers, George Allen Colley and William “Bill” Walter Colley, both of Cadiz, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
