Mr. Yates died Jan. 25 at his residence following a short illness. He was a retired supervisor at Hazardous Waste of Western Kentucky in Paducah and Madisonville. He was owner and operator of the former Yates Photography in Fredonia, a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Kuttawa and a Navy veteran.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Marie Yates.
Survivors are: his wife, Lenore Easley Yates; a sister, Patsy Weaks of Kuttawa; and two nephews.
