Doyle C. Walker, 91

Services for Doyle C. Walker, 91, of Eddyville, were April 22 at Lakeland Funeral Home. Jerie Barber, Andy Walker, and Bill Walker officiated. Burial followed in Rolling Hills Cemetery in Eddyville.

Mr. Walker died April 21 at Christian Care Center in Kuttawa. He was a retired science teacher for Crittenden County Hugh School with 35 years service. He raised and trained horses for riding and was a long time self employed farmer.

His parents were Percy Lee Walker and Lena Bell Castleberry Walker.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Davis and William Walker.

Surviviors are: his wife, of 67 years, Emma Baker Walker, three sons, Bill Walker of Bentonville, Ark., Don Walker of Benton, and Joe Walker of Kuttawa; nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; three Odell Walker of Kuttawa, Ray and Roy Walker both of El Pasco, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews.

Betty M. Jones,85

Services for Betty M. Jones, 85, of Lyon County, were April 20 at Glenns Chapel United Methodist Church. Dr. Jerrell White officiated the service and burial followed at Glenn’s Chapel.

Mrs. Jones died April 17 at her home following a long illness. She was a homemaker and a caregiver.

Her parents were James Edge Campbell and Maime Graves Campbell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. “Bud” Jones, three brothers, Billy D. Campbell, Harold Campbell, and Walton Campbell, and a infant sister.

Survivors are: two sons, Bobby and Tom Jones both of Lyon County; a daughter, Carol Jones of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Bobby Murphy, 80

Services for Bobby Murphy, 80, of Princeton, were April 23 at Morgan’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Dean Ray officiating.

Mr. Murphy died April 20 at his home following a short illness. He was the former co-owner of Murphy’s RVs and Indian Point RV Park and a member of Lamasco Baptist Church.

His parents were William Hayden and Kathleen Stone Murphy.

He was preceded in death by: his wife, Joyce Thompson Murphy; a son, Robert E. Murphy; and a brother, Hale Murphy.

Survivors are: a son, Rodney E. Murphy of Eddyville; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Joyce Fowler Henderson, 68

Services for Joyce Fowler Henderson, 68, of Lyon County were April 21 at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville.

Bro. Paul Taylor and Bro. Roy Marquess officiated and burial followed at Blue Springs Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Henderson died April 18 at Baptist Health Paducah following a long illness. She was a homemaker and a member of Bible Missionary Baptist Church in Eddyville.

Her parents were Rebecca King Fowler and Ovid Fowler.

She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Wayne Henderson and two brothers, Ray and Bennie Fowler.

Survivors are: a daughter, Stephanie Griffith and husband Bart, Lyon County; and a grandson, Michael Zackary Griffith.

Lois Traylor, 84

Services for Lois Traylor, 84, of Fredonia will be April 26 at 1 p.m. at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will follow in the Fredonia Cemetery.

Mrs. Traylor died April 19 at the Caldwell Medical Center following a long illness. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, the American Legion, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Her parents were Sidney Robinson and Ruth Traylor Giffels.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Traylor; a daughter, Gail Marie Strong; and two sisters, Hattie Perry and Imogene Jones.

Survivors are: a son, Dennis Traylor of Lyon County; three daughters, Susan Traylor and Janie Galusha of Fredonia, and Denise Whitaker of Lyon County; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be April 25 from 4-8 p.m.
