Dora LaVerne Duncan Jackson Sinek, 88

Services for Dora LaVerne Duncan Jackson Sinek, 88, of Reno, Nev., formerly of Kuttawa, were Oct. 18 at Dunn’s Funeral Home in Eddyville with the Rev. Gary D. Rowan officiating. Burial followed in Rolling Hills Cemetery.

Mrs. Sinek died Oct. 13 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Reno. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Her parents were Gaylon and Sarah Mahale Browning Duncan.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, A. B. Jackson; her second husband, William Jackson Sinek; a brother, Wallace R. Duncan; three sisters, Elizabeth Lucille Duncan, Nadine Fox, Dorothy Calhoun; and a grandson, Brandon Jackson.

Survivors are: a son, Dan Jackson of Brownsville, Tenn.; two granddaughters; and a sister, Virginia McQuigg of Kuttawa.

Ina Jane Ramage Monte, 66

Services for Ina Jane Ramage Monte, 66, of Kuttawa, were Oct. 21 at Dunn’s Funeral Home in Eddyville with the Rev. Jeremy Short officiating. Burial will follow in Dixon Cemetery in Grand Rivers.

Mrs. Monte died Oct. 18 at her home in Lyon County. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.

Her parents were Quentin Tidwell and Mildred Harper Davenport.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Tidwell McCain and an infant brother.

Survivors are: a daughter, Kimberly Holeman of Kuttawa; two sisters, Barbara Ritter Egner and Diann Warfield, both of Kuttawa; two granddaughters; and six great-grandchildren.
