Lyon County Middle School staff scurried amid a downpour Friday morning to close out an extraordinary academic year for students that ended with seven weeks of non-traditional instruction under the cloud of the COVID-19 pandemic. In fact, all three schools were involved in collecting Chromebooks, textbooks and other school supplies from students; delivering schedules and items left in locker and classrooms when school was last in session March 14; and distributing a week's worth of food. Faculty will remain on the job two more weeks to finish out their contract requirements.
