A Mayfield pair were arrested Tuesday on theft charges by Graves County Sheriff’s deputies.
At approximately 6:20 a.m., Deputy John Cavin was dispatched to West Slaughter Road, south of Mayfield, for the report of a stolen Puma brand camper trailer. A short time later, the camper trailer was located near the intersection of Coplen Road and Central Road.
Deputy Cavin located and arrested two Mayfield men at that location who still had the trailer hooked up to the truck they were driving. Hunter Hedgepath, 19, was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking Over $10,000, and Blake Jacoway, 18, was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking Over $10,000, as well as Firsty-Degree Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Both individuals were taken to the Graves County Jail and the camper trailer was returned to the owner with only minor damage.
Sgt. David Warner assisted Cavin with this arrest and investigation.
