When will the coming of the Lord happen?
The Word of God tells us in Matthew 24:36 this: "But of that day and hour knoweth no man. No, not the angels in Heaven, but my Father only."
I was pleading with a man about his salvation and his response was: "Before I die, I will accept Jesus into my heart as my personal Savior."
I said to him," When are you going to die?" He strangely looked at me and said, "Nobody knows when he is going to die."
I told him, "Well, since you don't know when you are going to die, don't you think it would be a good idea to receive Jesus now?"
I read a heart-searching song the other day I want to share. It is titled "Plenty of Time."
"I got up on Sunday morning, went to church at 10; I listened to the words I'd heard time and time again.
"The preacher spoke of sinful lives. It seemed he spoke of mine, But I was young. I had plenty of time.
"I walked down life's pathway, living as I wished to live; Now to beat the other fellow, How to get what life I could give.
"Making money is not sinful, having fun is not a crime. So, I'll just wait, I've got plenty of time.
"Plenty of time to decide where I'm bound, to eternal darkness or to Heaven's crown.
"I'm just a young man and not yet in my prime. So I'll just wait, I've got plenty of time.
"Before I knew what happened, life's dream had passed away and millions stood before God's throne, for it was judgment day.
"Now eternal darkness beckons and the name it calls is mine, But I thought I had plenty of time.
"Eternity waits, I've got plenty of time to think of all the days that could have been mine.
"Now, my chance is over, earth days have left behind. You've got plenty of time now, and I've got nothing but plenty of time!"
Conclusion is this: Hebrews 2:3 "How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation?"
