Happy New Year and thanks to everyone who participated last month in our first ever Festival of Trees. It was a big success and lots of money was raised for various charities throughout the area.

If you are a business owner with two or more employees and have been looking for health insurance, our Chamber has the answer for you. In conjunction with the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, we are able to offer Anthem Health Insurance to our members. If you are interested in getting a quote for your company, our local partner is Chamber member Lyon County Farm Bureau Insurance. Call and ask for Robin Gray at 270-388-4462.

Among the many reasons to be a Chamber member are the various discounts our members receive from other member businesses. They include: Bows & Cleats, Willow Pond Restaurant, The Running Rooster, Verizon, Payroll Vault, Regional Glass & Doors, Office Depot, Relax Inn, Air Evac and the Joint BBQ to name a few.

As a regional Chamber, we have members in several counties and serve many communities around the Lake Barkley area. Business owners and other entities are welcome to join as well as individual members.

In addition to our regular members, we have a group of approximately 30 Chamber Ambassadors who volunteer their time at various events to help make our various events successful. If you are looking for a way to contribute, we would love to have you as part of our team.

On Jan. 22 at 11:30 a.m., our Chamber will be hosting a Lunch Mob get-together at Los Agaves Mexican Restaurant in Eddyville. Attendees will pay for their own lunch but the networking is free. Chamber members are encouraged to attend as well as those seeking to learn more about our Chamber.

We would like to welcome the following new members to our Chamber: Resonate Foods, River's Bend Retirement Community, Ms. D's Blessed Hands Café, Crittenden-Livingston Water District, Glenn D. Denton Attorney-at-Law, and Eddyville Riverport & Industrial Development Authority.

If you would like to learn more about our Chamber or becoming a member, please contact our Executive Director Deb Domke at 270-388-4769.
