On Saturday at approximately 8:15 p.m. Eddyville Police stopped Michael Badger, 31, of Paducah on a standard equipment violation. Badger’s operator license was confirmed suspended. He was charged with operating on a suspended operator’s license and on a Lyon County bench warrant and jailed in Crittenden County.

About 8:47 p.m. Friday, Eddyville Police stopped Gary McConnell, 23, of Princeton on a standard traffic violation. McConnell’s operator’s license was confirmed suspended. He was charged with operating on a suspended operator’s license, failure to surrender operator’s license, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, second offense-methamphetamine, first-degree possession of controlled substance, drug unspecified, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. McConnell was lodged in Caldwell County Jail. Officers were assisted by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department.

Thursday at about 2:30 p.m. Eddyville Police received a complaint of a vehicle at the Eddyville Pizza Hut that possibly had an operator under the influence. After investigating, officers arrested Kenny Hayes, 39, of Fulton, on a Fulton County bench warrant. Eddyville Police were assisted by Lyon County Sheriff’s officers who also served a warrant on Hayes. He was lodged in Crittenden County Jail.

Last Wednesday, about 11:15 p.m. Eddyville Police received a call regarding an abandoned vehicle on Ky. 93 South. While responding, officers were stopped by a citizen who stated he had picked up a (person) walking down Ky. 93 South. After further investigation, officers charged Brittany Young, 27, of Eddyville with alcohol intoxication. Young was lodged in Crittenden County Jail.

About 7 p.m. February 2, Eddyville Police were dispatched to the Eddyville Dollar General Store in reference to a vehicle that ran over the stop sign at that intersection and fled the scene. Officers identified the driver and attempted to locate him that night but were unsuccessful. Last Wednesday, February 3, Chief Jaime Green made contact with the driver, Steven Hall, 32, of Eddyville, and cited him to court on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident.
