Spay and neuter vouchers are back

Lyon County Judge-Executive Wade White, left, and Dee Robinson of PAWS in Lyon County, Inc., announced last week spay and neuter vouchers are available again. The Lyon County Animal Hospital and Williams Veterinary Clinic can be contacted for more information.

The Lyon County Fiscal Court, Williams Veterinary Clinic, and Lyon County Animal Hospital announced on Wednesday, Nov. 16, spay and neuter vouchers are back.

The vouchers are for Lyon County residents. They are available at the Lyon County Animal Hospital, 638 Trade Ave. in Eddyville and Williams Veterinary Clinic, 1415 St. Route 1943 W, also in Eddyville.

A voucher is valid for one family, and there are no longer income requirements.

Crittenden County Animal Shelter is also accepting the Lyon County vouchers.

“If you find a pet at this shelter that has not been fixed you can put the pet on hold, buy your voucher at one of our two vet clinics for $30.00 and take proof with you when picking up the pet — The shelter will waive the spay/neuter cost and allow you to fix your pet here in Lyon at the vet of your choice at a cheaper cost to you,” officials said.
