Services for Thurman “T.F.” Potter, Jr., 71, of Grand Rivers, will be Friday, Feb. 1, at 11 a.m. at Lakeland Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Eddyville with the Revs. Clay Hall and James Oates officiating. Burial will follow in Mr. Carmel Cemetery in Iuka.
Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 31, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Potter died Sunday, Jan. 27, at his home. He was an active member of Lake City Baptist Church and retired waste treatment operator with the City of Grand Rivers.
His parents were Thurman Potter, Sr. and Lillian Pearl Davis Potter.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Veronica Potter and a brother, James Potter.
Survivors are: his wife, Virginia “Shorti” Aupperle Potter, Grand Rivers; a daughter, Tammy Weitlauf, Paducah; a son, Keith Potter, Charleston, S.C.; two sisters, Jean Koon, Calvert City, and Tidy Long, Smithland; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
