Lyon County’s Zach Radivonyk works around a Crittenden County defender in the Lyons’ win last Tuesday.

Lyon County built a 30-point lead early in the first half to put the Crittenden County Rockets away early, 79-41 last Tuesday. The Lyons are now 2-0 in district play and 5-0 in the region.

The Lyons opened the second quarter much the same as the first with a 9-0 run before Travis Champion used an And-1 to give the Rockets a boost, 40-11. The Rockets were finally able to get some points on the board when Lyon County foul trouble sent Crittenden to the line a total of four times. With the Rockets shooting 100% in the 2nd quarter, the halftime score was 53-21. Besides Champion, Tanner Beverly was the only other Crittenden player to sink a basket the entire second quarter.

The Lyons finished the Rockets off 79-41 with a running clock through the entire fourth quarter.

Travis Perry led the Lyons with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, and 6 steals. Both Shoulders posted a double-double. Jackson had 16 points while Brady collected 12, both boys snagged 10 rebounds each. Jack Reddick hit double figures as well with 12 points. Reddick also had 4 steals.
