The Lyon County Lyons saw their regular season finale on Tuesday with a 2-2 tie in Eddyville at Powell Field.

Lyon County (2-14-3) overcame a 2-1 halftime deficit to get a goal from Todd Huddleston midway through the second half in the 57th.

Fort Campbell (4-12-2) would get their two goals in the first half from Jhony Paniagua and Rafael Cerritos eight minutes apart from each other after Timothy Stewart put Lyon County up in front 1-0 in the 10th.

The final 23 minutes weren't enough to decide a winner despite chances from both teams near the goal (especially in the last 10 minutes) and Lyon County clinched their second tie in their last five games.

It was an improvement for Lyon County, who lost to the Falcons 4-0 in a shutout back in mid-August.

The Lyons (2-14-2) also fell to Mayfield 9-0 in game 1 Monday as the Cardinals swept the season series on their Senior Night.

Mayfield led 6-0 at halftime getting goals from Antonio Perez, Alberto Arellano, Salvador Game, Adalfo Pastor Cristian Leon, Xavier Tomas and Isaias Bartolo.

The Lyons now anticipate the District 5 Soccer Tournament, as head coach Michal Daily and the Lyons play Trigg County in the District 5 title game this week.

Fort Campbell closed out the regular season against Ohio County Thursday.

Goalie Cole Schroeder has picked up 463 keeper saves in 18 games, averaging over 25 saves per contest.

Todd Huddleston has become the leading scorer at eight goals, while Timothy Stewart (two goals on the season) leads the Lyons in assists with four.

Salvador Coronado has two assists with senior Jeremiah Wilkerson, who has three goals (second most on the team).

Levi Willis has also picked up two goals, and Walker Suitor and Nathan Hague have scored this season under first-year head coach Michael Daily.
