GriefShare, a grief support group, is offering another round of seminars beginning in March. These sessions seek to provide help and encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member or friend.

The meetings will start on March 2 and run through May 25 at Eddyville Methodist Church. There will be a time of fellowship beginning at 9:30 a.m., and the sessions will run from 10 to 11:30 a.m. There is a registration fee of $15, but scholarships are available.

Eddyville Methodist Church is located at 214 Jenkins Road in Eddyville.

GriefShare is a network of 15,000-plus churches worldwide that are equipped to offer grief support groups. The program is Bible-based, but nondenominational. The support group will meet weekly for small group discussion about the content of the weekly video seminar. There is also a workbook for journaling and personal study exercises.

According to GriefShare, group members have described the seminars as a “turning point in (their) life” and “the permission (they) needed to let grief happen.”

There are 13 sessions total, and each one is self-contained. Because of this, people are welcome to join at any time and can pick up any missed sessions in the next cycle. Seminar topics are as follows:

  • Is this normal?
  • Challenges of grief
  • The journey of grief (part one and two)
  • Grief and your relationships
  • Why?
  • Guilt and anger
  • Complicating factors
  • Stuck
  • Lessons of grief (part one and two)
  • Heaven
  • What do I live for now?
