Left: The Lyon County Homemakers club held its first ever book sale this past weekend. Nancy O’Brien came prepared to shop with her “Eddyville” tote bag, which she told another shopper was the perfect size to fill with books.

Above: The book sale took place Friday afternoon and Saturday morning at the Lyon County Extension Office, and books were divided into several genres, such as mystery, religion and cooking. Hard backs were one dollar, paperbacks were 50 cents, and magazines were 25 cents. All proceeds went toward the Lyon County Homemakers Scholarship.
