Lyon County Middle School recently won the 7th grade District tournament with a 46-40 win over Trigg County. The second seed Lyons (6-2) picked up a first round 35-18 win over No. 3 seed Crittenden County (4-4) to advance to the championship. Colton Prow and Jett Reddick both hit double figures to lead the Lyon County offense. Prow finished with 18, while Reddick had 11.

Lyon knocked off No. 1 seed Trigg County (7-1) after making up a 20-16 first half deficit. Prow scored 13 of the team’s 15 third quarter points to tie the game at 31-31 going into the fourth quarter. Carson Humphrey and Clay Travis each added a pair of free throws late in the fourth quarter to hold on to the 46-40 win. Reddick finished the game with 11 points while Prow lead the overall offensive efforts with 25 points.
