Lyon County Schools will be offering its summer feeding program again this year. Breakfast and lunch will be served Monday through Friday with the exception of holidays.

The program is open to any child age 18 and under. They do not have to attend Lyon County schools. The only requirement is that the child must come to the cafeteria at Lyon County and eat their meal there.

Breakfast will be served from 7:30-8 a.m. each morning and will be on a rotating menu based on the day of the week, with items such as cereal, pop tarts and mini bagels.

Lunch will be served from 11-11:30 a.m. and will feature hot menu items such as hot dogs, pizza and chicken sandwiches.

This program is free to any child and also helps benefit the School Food Service program. If a child wishes, the school will also have the a la carte dining open each day so that the children can purchase snacks and drinks. However, the main meal is offered at no charge.

Lyon County schools is located at 217 Jenkins Road in Eddyville.
