• On April 12, around 2 p.m., Chief Deputy Sam Adams served a criminal summons on Jackie L. Chittenden, 48, of Paducah, and charged her with a McCracken District Court summons on theft by deception (including cold checks), according to the sheriff’s office.

• On April 19, around 10:10 a.m., Sheriff Brent White arrested Basilio Barcena-Sales, 37, of Clarksville, Tennessee, and charged him with display of a fictitious operator’s license and operating on a suspended operator’s license, according to the sheriff’s office.

• On April 22, around 6 p.m., Deputy Danny Collings was dispatched to a single-vehicle collision on KY 293 in the Saratoga community. The sheriff’s office said investigation revealed a 2020 Hyundai, driven by Isabella Fields, 17, of Kuttawa, was northbound when it collided with a wild turkey, causing minor damage to the front bumper. No injuries were reported in the collision, according to the sheriff’s office.

• On April 23, around 5:15 p.m., Deputy Collings made a traffic stop on I-24 following a reckless driving complaint at the 49 mile marker. The sheriff’s office said Deputy Collings identified Kalya R. Fannin, 29, of Lexington, as the driver. The sheriff’s office said she was arrested and charged with: speeding 26 mph or more over the limit, reckless driving, improper use of left lane, failure of owner to maintain required liability insurance-second offense, operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license, possession of license when privileges are revoked, no registration receipt, bench warrant — failure to appear — Johnson County, and bench warrant — failure to appear — Campbell County.

• On April 23, around 7:30 p.m., Deputy Aaron O’Leary served a criminal summons on Rosemary Winfree, 43, of Kuttawa, charging her with parent or custodian to send child to school-first or second offense, according to the sheriff’s office. She was given a summons to appear in Lyon District Court.

• On April 23, around 8:20 p.m., Deputy O’Leary served a criminal summons on Jessica McKenzie, 35, of Eddyville, charging her with parent or custodian to send child to school-first or second offense, according to the sheriff’s office. She was given a summons to appear in Lyon District Court.

• On April 23, around 10:37 p.m., Deputy O’Leary was dispatched to a single-vehicle collision in the 1500 block of KY 293. The sheriff’s office said investigation revealed a 2015 Honda CR-V driven by Deborah J. Hamilton, 63, of LaFayette, was southbound when the driver apparently fell asleep before leaving the roadway and overturning multiple times. The driver was restrained and did not have any serious injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.
