University of Cincinnati Head Coach Wes Miller looked on as Travis Perry and the Lyon County Lyons defeated John Hardin for a second time, 95-57, on Friday, Feb. 10 in Eddyville. The last time the Lyons met John Hardin was in the Sweet 16 Round of the 2022 state tournament. Lyon won that contest 82-65.
The Lyons started the homecoming victory with a 7-0 run that eventually hit a double-digit deficit for the Bulldogs, 26-14. By halftime, Perry connected on five 3-pointers to add to his 25 points to extend that Lyons lead to 49-27.
Jack Reddick took over in the third quarter with double figures. Reddick hit 3-of-5 buckets from downtown for the Lyons. Cooper Collins and Perry added the other two. The Lyons’ 31-point third quarter gave them a 80-47 lead going into the final frame.
Lyon saw nine points off the bench from Bray Kirk to finish out the 95-57 win.
Perry hit for 32, Brady Shoulders had 21, Reddick 17, and Kirk 11 for the Lyons.
Taj Douglas led the Bulldogs with 23. Jake Owens was the only other player to reach double figures for John Hardin with 10.
