Murray State University is introducing the Paducah Academy for Nonprofit Development and Leadership created by the Nonprofit Resource Center and Center for Adult and Regional Education at the university. This course will take place at the regional Murray State campus in Paducah.

Murray State describes this academy as a leadership training and networking program for area nonprofit professionals developed by MSU’s Nonprofit Leadership faculty, local nonprofit leaders and professional leadership consultants.

The program will consist of eight monthly seminars taking place in August through April that are focused on topics, including program development, financial management, support resources, communication, marketing and more. Those who graduate from the program will receive the Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and CEU (continuing education unit) credit.

The academy promises that participants will gain valuable knowledge and develop leadership skills they can immediately apply in their organization, as well as have the opportunity to network with other nonprofit leaders in their community.

The cost of the academy is $250, which consists of a $225 registration fee and $25 participation fee. Space is limited, and those interested must apply by July 1 at murraystate.edu/paducah.

Seminars will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the MSU regional campus, which is located at 4430 Sunset Ave. in Paducah. Lunch will be provided at each seminar. The dates are:
