Jackson Crawford and Dalton Phillips

Jackson Crawford and Dalton Phillips were named the boys doubles Second Region runners-up after they fell 6-2, 6-4 in the title match.

The Lyon County boys doubles team of Dalton Phillips and Jackson Crawford claimed Runner-Up at the Second Region Tournament. Phillips and Crawford beat Henderson County’s Thomas Berger and Alton Berger 6-1, 7-6 in the semifinal round to advance, but eventually fell to the region winners, Grayden Miller and Nick Adams 6-2, 6-4. The runner up finish qualifies the team for the state tournament which will be played in Lexington May 30-June 1.

Anna Crawford also qualified to advance to the state tennis tournament in the girls singles division after her performance in the Second Region tournament as well. This will be the Junior’s first appearance in the state tournament.
